See, I have wanted a bike for a while but had no where to keep it. Well now I have a balcony, so what better time to finally get my bike. (As a side note: I don't even keep her on the balcony because I like her too much to lock her outside, ha!)
Anyway, Sun & Ski was the choice shop. I went over there with my boyfriend consultant in tow. Our salesman Joe had me down to two bikes. One nice mountain bike with pad brakes (read: cheap) and one awesome bike with disc brakes (read: expensive). Anyway I was rational for once in my life and decided on the one with the pad brakes that was still pricey but not as expensive as other.
We closed the deal, and they told me to come pick the bike up the next day. Well in the 24 hours following, the resident expert boyfriend became even more of an expert. He did a bunch of research on the reviews of both bikes and found that I had probably made a big mistake.
I was a little torn because I wasn't sure if I wanted to double my purchase. While I was contemplating the upgrade the boyfriend decided that he is going to cover the additional costs as a thank you for taking care of him after his 3rd surgery of our relationship. What a wonderful present! (Thank you boyfriend, again and again.)
So we went back over to Sun & Ski and got my new disc brake bike the Raleigh Eva 12. I named her Sasha Donatella because she is part fierce, part ninja across the trails of Houston.
