All the chefs packed up and headed to AUSTIN on last night’s episode of Top Chef Texas. San Antonio and Dallas each got two episodes, maybe three and I'm thinking Austin will get all of the rest. There are still 10 chefs left. Now there may be a few double eliminations yet to come, but at least 5 or 6 episodes remain!
And Paul, the Austin boy, won the Quickfire Challenge! This guy is so awesome. He always pushes the envelope and is generally successful. He is still, by far, my favorite.
Heather, my least favorite, got kicked off. Oops, I hope it wasn't DVR'd for ya, because if so, I just ruined it. Whatever, despite being in the ATX it wasn't that great of an episode.
I will say my opinion of Beverley is slowing changing. She really stepped up her game last night and was in the top 3 in the Quickfire and Elimination Challenges.
Sarah won. She cries too much. It annoys me.
The best part of last night's show... the previews for next week! They will be cooking at THE SALT LICK. The Salt Lick is an institution around here and 10 minutes from my childhood home. I have probably eaten there thousands of times in my life, if not more. It is one of my favorite places to eat in the universe, and I cannot wait to see the chefs compete there!
Maybe I'll even head over to the Salt Lick for some BBQ this Christmas weekend!
