SEARS FAIL.

I just saw a commercial for a Sears Christmas sale. It is called the "Real Big Gift Sale."

What the hell??? Real Big??? How about Really Big?

I get that in advertizing they sometimes play little tricks on slogans. They turn the R around backwards in Toys R Us. They might even spell a word wrong intentionally or misuse capitalizations.

But to have a grammatically incorrect slogan or sale title, come on!

Our language gets hit every day with the "yalls" and the "yous guys."And that isn't what bothers me. What bothers me is that I am 27 years old, and I have colleagues and former classmates that can't differentiate between "your" and "you're," or "their," "there," and "they're."

And to have a nationwide sales commercial running on national TV during primetime with a sale titled, "Real Good Gift Sale," this is just outrageous and only adding to the disintegration of the English language.

Shame on you Sears.

xoxo Sara Marie
