Iowa, Iowa, Iowa, Iowa, Iowa

If you watch the news at all, "Iowa, Iowa, Iowa, Iowa..." is all you hear. Apparently there is some sort of primary election there next week. Ha. 4 days to be exact. Actually, 104 hours to be EXACT. Whoa. Well it is no secret I will be there. I leave at 6:45am Sunday morning. Yes, that is a couple of hours after most people will be going to bed after celebrating the end of 2011; I'm dedicated, people. Here's how I think it will go...

It is going to be cold. That is for sure. It's going to go quick that is also for sure. So after landing around 11am in Omaha, NE it will be off to the races. A coworker and I will be helping with the Sioux City Volunteer Center for Governor Perry as well as help the Texas State Legislators who are making the trip to speak on behalf of Governor Perry at specific Caucuses. We will be phone banking and sign waving, and kissing babies wherever we can.

I think Governor Perry will end up at least 3rd...at least. Could he pull off a win? Not likely, but a 2nd place finish is not a crazy theory. And whichever it is, we come home on Wednesday.

And from there, who knows...South Carolina, Florida, let's go people. Before we know it, it will be March or April and we will have a candidate. Let's hope for the unemployed Americans everywhere, that candidate is Governor Perry.

xoxo Sara Marie
