Friendship

My childhood best friend came over tonight. We just played catch up for three hours, then went and grabbed a drink.

This is what I have to say about friendship: it is always evolving.

There have been times I didn't speak with or email or whatever my best friends...from my childhood BF to my college roommate to my college best friend. It happens, ya know.

It sucks, but it happens. My life is super busy, and so are my super successful best friends. And bottom line: it doesn't matter. Nothing matters to that real-life, true best friend.

Tonight my childhood BF and I caught up like we had not missed a beat. And the most comforting thing in the world is being with someone who knows you better than any other person in the world. I have probably 4 people like this in my life... my sister, my two best friends and my boyfriend. I can't get something past these people. They know me too well... and I love it. I love being with these people; its home to me. No matter where I am with them, they are home.

We may not be able to hang out or even talk/email everyday or every other day, but I love you. You know who you are and you make me who I am. Thanks yall.
