Ted Cruz...

So with all the attention down here focused almost entirely on the national stage watching Governor Perry duke it out with Mitt Romney (and now Herman Cain a little) for the potential nomination for President, very little notice is given to the somewhat heated race for US Senate to fill retiring Senior Senator, Kay Bailey Hutchison's seat.

And while it is always better for voters to be well educated on all the candidates, this lack of attention is requiring the campaigns to get creative.

First the Cruz campaign sent a mascot in a duck outfit to one of Dewhurst's events to highlight his tendency to "duck out" of straw polls and grassroots events.

Now I'll be honest, this one has been done before. Not just by the Perry 2010 campaign when they sent pigs to a Senator Hutchison's event highlighting her "pork spending." But also when Bill White did it too. Governor Perry refused to debate him until he released his tax returns so White sent a person in a chicken suit as if to say the Governor was "a chicken" for not debating. Ha. Yah right. That didn't really work out for him now did it?

Anyway, after the duck suit, the Cruz campaign took it up a notch and released this:

MEMO: Ducking Dewhurst Debate Prep Cheat Sheet

Check it out. It is a "Cheat Sheet" for their opponent, Dewhurst. Classic folks. It's hilarious and pretty spot on too.

Here's to more of this creative campaigning to try and steal any attention possible away from that little race going on up on the national level.
