It's over. The quest for #28 is put off another year, the Yankees lost. But I have two things to say:
1. To All the Arod Haters- Just because he struck out to end the game, does not mean he is worthless. How about harp on freakin Nova who gave up BACK to BACK homeruns in BACK to BACK pitches IN THE FIRST INNING???? He doesn't do that and we win 2-1.
Or what about Grandy? He is solid all year and then in the biggest game of the year, he bobbles a ball in Centerfield to let run #3 come across. He doesn't do that and we are in extra innings at least.
So get off Arod people. He has the second most grand slams in baseball. He has come through in the clutch plenty of times. Has he chocked too? Sure. But last night was not his fault.
2. I still love the Yankees. I still hate the Sox. And despite any loss, the Yanks are still the winningest-- is that a word? if not, we are so good we make up words to decribe our success--- winningest franchise in the HISTORY OF SPORTS. Detroit is a good team and the Rangers are probably better than them even, so enjoy the offseason boys and next year... next year we will get #28.
