A Big Monday Night for my DVR...

But I got through it alll.

We will start with the debate... Rick Perry for the win.

I know yall are shocked that I say that, but seriously, he did. Romney just hangs back until he sees an opening for a prepared one liner, that inevitably is returned by Perry with even more zing. That coupled with the biggest attack on Perry being an executive order THAT NEVER WENT INTO EFFECT, translate into not only solidifying Perry as the frontrunner over Romney, but also keeps him at the top of the debate performance list.

"The others" did alright. Bachmann decided to show up over halfway through the debate, and unfortunately for her I think "too little, too late," might be the line for her performance.

Santorum, like I said before, is kicking and screaming his way out of this race. Much like Huntsman, who is desperately trying to jump between Romney and Perry with absolutely no success.

Herman Cain and Newt both have sound ideas and come off as smart guys. With that said, they are both about as unelectable as one candidate can be. Cabinet Member might be a future title for both.

And finally is Grandpa Ron. This guy locked down his 4% last night. See occasionally he spews just enough of his Utopian ideas that he can even emerge above his usual base, but more times than not, he goes a little too far with his conspiracy theories, and falls back to his rightful spot at the bottom of the field. That fall took place last night.

So Perry wins...again. I don't see this assessment of the field changing too much. I think the next big developments will be when Santorum, Huntsman, Cain, Newt or Bachmann drop out. It's a race to not be the first.

On to Miss Universe...

Angola! I love this. My top picks were Costa Rica--gorgeous, and Philippines--great dress. Unfortunately neither won. My sister's VERY FIRST pick (which is done before the competition starts, we look online at their headshots) was Angola. But she and I have been watching these pageants since we were knee high, so we are pretty awesome at picking the winners.

Anyway, the overall pageant was a little too much with all the musical guests, but definitely made me want to go to Brazil even more than I already do. I'm sure the host country loves NBC achieving that goal. Also, Andy Cohen is a fabulous host...really, really great. And that's hard to do. People like AC Slater, from Saved by the Bell, (I forget his real name) suck, and that makes for a terrible night. Andy Cohen was perfect.

Monday Night Football was blah. Pats fans probably thought it was the greatest night ever, but come on, New England beating Miami should not be a huge headline. I will say that I got nervous for my fantasy team when Wes Welker decided to earn more points than some quarterbacks. Luckily it wasn't quite enough to put Belicheck Yoselfs over my SMKs Future Husbands. Round One fantasy win, CHECK!

I haven't watched WEEDS yet, because I realized I haven't watched in the last few weeks. I will this weekend for sure, and I'm excited because a high school friend has a role in last night's episode.

Finally I watched some Real Housewives. And I hate to say it, but Beverly Hills is already boring me. Ususally it takes 3 or 4 episodes of the same fight over and over again to lose my attention, but this one only took two. Oh well. I'll just wait for New York to come back; it's my favorite.

So that's it. Go Governor Perry, hell yah for Miss Angola, on to week two of fantasy football, more WEEDs this weekend, and freeing up DVR space by canceling series recording of RHOBH. Quality Monday night.

xoxo Sara Marie
