It's that time of year. When records start to matter and speculation of MVPs starts to fly. The Yanks are back a game and a half to the Sox going into a short two game series in Boston.... and Granderson is in a dead heat battle with Adrian Gonzalez for that MVP spot it seems.
I've got faith in my boys in pinstripes too. Our pitching is getting better and better, and despite a few injuries here and there, the Captain is hitting better than the beginning of the year.
Sabathia is on the hill tonight, and I couldn't think of a better way to start such an important series. If we can just split tonight and tomorrow, and the Rangers take two of three from the Sox this weekend, the Yanks will be sitting on top if they can handle the Jays and Baltimore again.
Both teams will probably flip flop through September staying within two games of one another, ending in an all out duel in the Bronx for the second to last series for both teams in late September. A series the Yanks will obviously dominate, thus taking the pennant.
And then it's October and time for #28....
xoxo Sara Marie
