Sausage McMuffins and Frozen Mimosas

Could there be a better title to a blog post?

First the Sausage McMuffin.

Ok, when I make it to McDonalds before 1030AM, it's always and Egg McMuffin with no egg. SAY WHAT??? I know. Weird. But I hate the strange perfectly round, block egg they throw on those things. The ham and cheese is obviously glorious, but I just can't eat that egg.

Well, this weekend before our trek out to the track in the 100 degree plus heat, my boyfriend and I wanted a hearty breakfast. And by hearty, I clearly mean, high in calories.

So I offered up McDonalds. He hesitated. I explained my Egg McMuffin, no egg, and his wheels started turning in his head. He instructed me to go to McDonalds and get 5 Sausage McMuffins. (While the Egg McMuffins are spectacular with the ham and cheese, the sausage has not egg, just meat and cheese--- perfect.) So, I went. I got the 5 McMuffins and when I returned, BAM! The BF had cooked up 5 eggs, sunny side up, for us to add to the Sausage McMuffins! And perfection it was.
This is the breakfast spread. Sausage McMuffin with homemade, sunny-side up eggs. Unbeatable.

So that started Saturday. On Sunday, we decided to go try Pappasitos' Sunday Brunch. I love Pappasitos and had never done brunch there. Last time I was there, I noticed they had Frozen Mimosas listed on the Brunch menu. Whoa. I'm in. So we headed over there Sunday around noon to see if they were any good.

And good, they were. I was afraid after building up the hype in my head, they would fall flat. They did not. They were tangy and fun and .99 cents! I call that the tri-fecta of greatness.
This is the frozen piece of Heaven.

So next time you are hungry as you stumble out of bed, considering either of these options will absolutely suffice, trust me. And if not, well, umm, sorry, I think both are awesome.

xoxo Sara Marie
